Why is bard and paladin considered equally good?

so this depends on your personal views on what “good” is as these kind of adjectives are completely subjective and has no measurable value.

some people think class is “good” if it performs up to par with other classes without considering ease of play. so if the player has infinite potential the class can perform just as well as any other.

but some people think that easier to play classes are “better” because given that humans are prone to error a simpler class simply has less chances of error, which leads to better consistency.

so i guess it depends on what camp you are in

They are completely subjective and they DO have measurable value.

And some people think a class that is easier to play automatically have a low skill cap. Subjective takes are allowed to be dead wrong.

the word “good” has no measurable value
are you sure you read my sentence properly?

and you are also confusing an opinion with a false fact. one cannot be wrong while the other can.

example.
the rain is cold can never be wrong because its subjective
the rain is colder than ice can either be correct or wrong because that’s a statement containing a fact, not an opinion.

easy to play is not equal to skill ceiling, that’s a factual statement
some people think easier to play classes are good - thats an opinion
