Dude I got the same amount of hours in that you got, probably even more. Currently sitting at 480 hours of gameplay on steam spent doing everything I could to get materials and hone my way through. I told you, I spent 1 week’s worth of resources to get from 1355 to 1356, it’s insane and I’m not the only one! The vast majority of people are like this. The devs themselves said they’re trying to solve this so your point is invalid, it’s just a matter of how quick the fixes come in and how exactly the fixes will play out.
As opposed to the sheep who put up with ridiculous RNG rates (to milk the whales), who think doing so equates to skill at the game, right?
I mean, you’re the guys who think NA/EU should suffer the mistakes the devs already admitted to doing so all over again, in other to prove themselves.
I guess learning from mistakes is meaningless when you can use it to gatekeep.
The only thing I swiped for was the Platinum pack for a game I waited 8 years for… and the omen set. Besides that, it’s all just playing efficiently and doing all dailies every day. Believe what you want but not everyone needs to swipe to enjoy the game they waited years for.
They wanted to westernize the game and not make it P2W.
They didn’t do anything. It’s the same crappy day 1 KR version(even worse because abyss 1355 got moved to 1370) with skin covered up.
Korea at least admitted to their wrong doings since their game was dying and they quickly patched it up and let people play legion raids and learned their lesson. Now we gotta wait for our guys to learn that mistake on their own skin and fix it and hopefully we’ll get a better fix considering the situation they’re in where we’re at 1/3 the playerbase.

Oh hey, no, I appreciate your whaling. Keeps this game funded. I’m not going to look at you any less. Nor do I think people are “demanding equality”. Those that no-life or whale, its ok they’re way ahead. We just want the same rates. That’s it. Also I’m 1373. Enjoying myself too. Would enjoy it more if rates and content were equal, not stripped down, missing, covered up. You’ll know when you get here.

I mean honing buffs are coming in one month bare minimum if they stick to current release schedule. At this point it’s just a waiting game. Based on their current responses, this may come even faster.
You kinda did though, by calling others entitled, when it really shouldn’t have any bearing on you.

This is what people that are crying about pay2win don’t understand.
You don’t ‘win’ anything. The prize is being able to do Argos lmao. I’m ilvl 1350 and have spent less than $100 on the game and enjoyed it a lot.
Apart from streamers/content creators, who make more money from donations and ads than what they spend gambling, why anyone would spend money or stress to be able to do a single ezmode raid is beyond me.
In any game, once you stop having fun, simply quit and move on. Come back later and you’ll notice there’s new content and the old content you stressed about is now (usually) completely obsolete.
It’s not a mistake though, and it likely wasn’t in Korea. It’s intentional to bait whales lol. Making games grindy is always intentional to make you frustrated enough to spend money to get it faster.
Ive also only bought the gold founders pack and i hit 1370 last week so like, no need to hardspend, i almost hit 200 honing fails to and id say at least 170 of those are on my main

You need to understand that all of this is planned in advance. They know exactly how frustrating it is and it’s all intentional to trick you into spending money.
The devs are not some clueless idiots, this is all planned in advance as MMOs always do this. Hell, World of Warcraft has done the exact same thing 3 expansions in a row lol. They wouldn’t repeat the same thing everyone hated 3 times in a row if it wasn’t profitable.
Making people frustrated and feel like they are missing out is what makes them spend money.
Besides, if tomorrow they hotfixed honing and it was 100% honing rates people would do Argos once or twice and then complain that there’s no content on the game and quit anyway.

I know from WoW that once it gets incredibly grindy just wait for a patch that will make all your grinding obsolete lol.

I’m just gonna say it since all i see on the forums is constant complaining from people that think 1370 is some far gone impossible level to reach as f2p. That is far from the truth at this point and people saying it will take months are absolutely delusional. I just hit 1370 this past week as f2p with about 400h in game, only purchases I have made are the bronze founders and the $10 blue crystal pack. Now I will say the honing rates from 1355-1370 are a bit rough and i did get lucky on a couple hits but I still had my fair share of failed hones with about 190 total between all 4 of my characters 3 of which are in T2. I think the problem moreso lies with players not wanting to spend any gold to buy mats to upgrade. I spent about 25K gold from 1355-1370 buying mostly leapstones and some extra armor/weapon stones that have been crashing in price. Also Mari shop is a great resource for getting extra mats. It is far from impossible. Stop sitting on your gold expecting the game to give you everything for free.
This is an MMO you are supposed to use all available resources including the AH to gear up your character. If honing rates are that big of a deal to you, you might as well just quit now because they only get worse. The injection of honing materials is huge and if they bring us the missing content to acquire more honing mats there is no issue imo. Honing is the rng system to gear your character in this game, similar to 1% gear drops in other MMOs raids/dungeons but packaged differently and it’s actually more lenient since there is a pity system in place. Stop complaining about everything and just play or quit. This game may not be for you.
My biggest number 1 issue with western Lost Ark is that not all classes are available here that are available in the Korean version.
They should just release Lance Master, Scouter, Reaper, Destroyer, Arcana, and Summoner from day 1 so people can play their favorite classes.
Just releasing one by one is pointless, just let people play their main. You can see these classes in role-assigment in discord so IDK why they are doing one by one (1 class release per month)
I am super lazy playing my alts cause I am waiting for all the classes I wanted to play to get released.

The issue is moreso that the prices for mats are so incredibly high that it’s simply not worth the gold investment. Now that that suddenly changed we’ll be seeing a lot more 1370 but still not a lot.
