I just want to reiterate again that another huge point of frustration, is that a lot of us are dealing with these abysmal honing rates and lack of materials whilst playing a class that isn’t even the one we want to actually play. So we know that whenever our real main actually gets released (which could be who knows when, we really need that roadmap), we’ll have to go through all this again.
Please, please release the rest of the missing classes. Or at least let us know exactly when we can expect each of them, and also if we’ll be able to boost them somehow to catch up to our current characters.
I 110% agree with honing injection as a viable solution. Hopefully this will alleviate the Argos situation and allow for 20%+ players to participate instead of the initial <1%.
But I also want to advise that it is 200% better to err on the side of injecting too much honing material. Reason being, too few means we will still not see the desired results and the community has been expecting something for about 2 weeks. Worst solution would be to slowly injecting material over a lengthy period of time until it is enough, and end up taking several months to do so. Backlash is obvious and new content is just being stalled.
On the other hand, too much honing material may bring most players to 1370+ and some towards 1400. This is easily remedied by pushing out new content such as Legion Raids earlier without the consequences of the Argos incident, as more players will be able to access the content. We already plan to be on an accelerated scheduled, so there is no harm done and everyone is likely happier.
Edit: The most important part to make accelerated schedule work isn’t to just push out content earlier like you guys did for Argos. We learned that more content is pointless if no one can participate. Delaying content isn’t advisable either as that would go against the goal to catch up to other versions. Giving more avenues to acquire resources and at greater amounts to push us to the doorsteps of higher content is probably the best option that I can see. Our progression should dictate when new content come out. So if we can acquire resources to supplement our progression, then new content will naturally be accelerated.
I would argue this to be quite shortsighted. Even if you would hand out enough materials to boost everyone to 1375 by the end of the week, theres another huge problem on the horizon: Missing content.
This game will continue to bleed players until people can get the chance to get to the needed itemlvl in a very reasonable time and at the same time be able to engage with additional content.
I am not talking about weird stuff like the current racing event, but actual quality content. And who would have guessed, its already part of the game in other regions.
Can we get any sort of time frame on when these decisions will likely be made? I, and I assume many others, have been holding on to materials waiting for an announcement as to whether or not honing rates will be addressed so as to not feel as though we’ve spent all this gold’s worth of materials to upgrade, just to have an announcement come out the next day saying rates will be changed and we wasted it all.
Roadmap when? Even a small peek into what to expect over the next month or two would be very welcome at this point.
I understand what you issue is but at the same time this is the way the game was designed.
I got stuck at 1360 but lvled up alts and just got my main to 1370. Yes, I had to wait some time to do Argos but it was fun and I had no rush. If we could made it this way then everyone can too.
I really suggest to get those alts to t3, they will help you with more mats because it only goes downhill from there. Honing difficulty becomes harder but more rewarding.
Because they have been just speaking empty all the time and still no roadmap. We had a discussion about quitting lost ark with my friends tonight for real. What everyone worried about is all AGS, not LA.
In meanwhile playerbase is still dropping, charts are clear.
Soon you will realise that your strategy has been a flop, starting from the censorship and NPC rework. to the greed on the P2NOTSUFFER business model.
You needed to change ONLY one thing during the westernization … MICROTRANSATIONS DEPENDENCE and aim just to the montlhy sub, giving REAL benefits and NOT making it almost mandatory unlike the other versions, and to the fashion.
I appreciate you coming onto the forums and communicating … And I’m not trying to be rude here … But there is absolutely no need to introduce materials via special events in which exchange materials will be weekly capped (and likely not be able to buy anymore than grand prix) and then sit back for another X amount of weeks/months to collect data.
You can do the math yourselves. Just count how many honing materials one character can purchase each week from the special event, then compare that to the number of materials needed to upgrade materials. Then factor in material cost for hundreds of failed honing attempts. Then re-look at the number of honing materials each player can purchase each week and realize, “oh wow, yeah, this isn’t going to help at all”.
Youre going to complain about content either way. 20mins of extra weekly content isnt going to satiate your hungry that you are trying to describe.
Wtf they nerfed argos? Why and when? I thought t3 content was going to be untouched by the nerf hammer for all the smooth brains
stable at 500k since the bot banwave yet there are thousands of bots still around. I mean playercount is going down thats for sure. Anything else is copium. So weird how you people defend billion dollar corpos like you were running them.
Yes it is totally enough at this point. You get the same features you had in korea at that time with the same %. It was bad at that moment ? Yes. It is bad here too ? Yes. But you cant punish every player who went to 1370 or over 1370 because its to hard for you , it was hard for me and for those players aswell.
Play and when first legion raid is here you will get your honing % increased.
First thanks for being active on the forums and responding!
If it’s like grand prix, that’s only an additional 2 to 3 attemps a week which is a tiny drop in a giant bucket.
Time gated events aren’t solution if it follows the current event.
On average it takes 220 fails to get to 1370, most are around 55 fails at 1340.
Grand prix gives a total of 5% of the fails over it’s 4 week course. An additional event with similar rewards will bring that to 10%.
This doesn’t really alleviate the issue as a whole. Not saying honing rates need an immediate buff, but the materials will need to be significant.
This was already announced about a week ago, the changes go live in approximately 36 hours.
The fact that AGS don’t even mention the Abyss Trials and Heroic Raids it’s at least scary to me, it looks AGS don’t even is willing to put those missing content in the game, because if they do, Free2Play players will be empowered, and looks like that’s not the intent to do so, because it was, why don’t even mention the missing content or set a scheduler to it?
No.
The changes being implemented this week are specifically to account for those materials being absent from the game, until the content itself can be added. They’re going further than acknowledging it and actually creating a temporary version of that content just to give us the materials in the meantime.
The event itself is LITERALLY a version of challenge guardian raids…
Youre acting like a large population has tier 3. Its literally 2%. You cant base an entire game on how 2% of the players feel
Buffing honing rates from 1340 to 1370 is no a brainer and I highly doubt this coming patch will solve anything
