I know there’s tons of posts already, I’m here to add one more to make sure they can see.
The main argument I see are:
- The stronghold buff will widen the gap between players.
This is true but only temporary as everyone will eventually get the stronghold buffs and catch up. The buff only last to 1415 not to the end of time just like every other stronghold buff. Aside from that this will not damage the experience of newer players. Because it will not cause inflation in gold. Some people might say that you will get more gold from selling relics which is true but you would also have to spend more gold and pheons to gear up your alts so everything evens out.
- Inflation.
when you reach 1415, you lose Oreha gold. The difference in gold “generation (not gold income)”is very minimum. Inflation is primarily due to bots getting huge amount of una task gold. Gold obtained from selling relic accs is only reallocation of existing gold, won’t cause inflation. Having more alts means buying more relic accs to gear up the alts which means more trading. More trading = more pheons which actually deflates the gold.
- RMT will get stronger!!
People who say this are braindead. They have unlimited gold. Only ones fucked over are the legit players.
I don’t understand anyone that are 1460 and actually appreciates not having honing buffs. Like what? You want to progress your alts slower? People that doesn’t want the honing buffs are also the people that are complaining vykas is too early. So why release Vykas at all?
As to why smilegates made this decision? No clue, just like all the other patches (valtan was a nice patch) they kinda just do whatever the fuck they want for no reason. If this is a pity attempt on trying to make people spend money on alts, I think they grossly overestimated how fun their game is.

We have not hit the content yet, aswell normal mode is 1430. So it’s slight upgrade. No need to instantly do hm from the start.
Next boss after vykas is 1475, wil hit in 3/4ish month i asume. Plenty of time to grow in ilvl
So they can release it in the future as “content”.
Remember:
Player feedback is always shared, listened to, and considered, however it is not the only factor that goes into making game-related decisions – things like data, business intelligence, product performance, performance in other regions, and more also have an impact on certain game decisions.
Basically they think they can make more money by delaying it, even if it’s worse for the game.
People are doing hardmode valtan which is 1445. 1430 is a small step up but these releases are tailored towards 1460 content
Idk if the honing buffs should even be considered content. They are the core mechanics of the game that the game is balanced around. Removing this is the same as removing knowledge transfer for Vern.
More than anything it will shorten the gap between hardcore legitimate players and RMT-ers who, lets be honest, already have any alts up to snuff that they want.
Majority of people saying the 10% SH honing research buff shouldn’t be in game are no where near 1460 and complain that the gap between them and the hardcore players and whales will get larger.

this game has p2w. There will always be a large gap between you and whales. If you have a problem with other progressing faster than you, you are playing the wrong game.
-
rather than support the decision to remove the SH honing research buff and stall players with a 1460 main and 5/6 1370 alts, you should request more catch up mechanics to help you progress so you can start enjoying the whole reason most of us are playing the game (legion raids).
The honing buffs that were live in JP when vykas was released would be a good start considering we have the accelerated release schedule but no accelerated catch up honing rates.

It’s crazy how people are complaining that 1460 buff will widen the gap. The stronghold buff only last until 1415 and everyone can get it as they reach 1460. Everyone will be able to benefit from it at some point in time. The benefit is also limited. In other words, this is like a jump pad that everyone can use once but there’s a line up for it. Some people get to go first, some people have to wait. But in the end everyone gets to the same spot. So the gap in terms of people having this buff will eventually near zero. @Wetjumper

IM SO MAD, I tried to hone my db past 1370 and I FAIL LIKE 40% and 30% till pity. Im abouta just call it quits and never come back until THEY RELEASE THE HONING BUFF FOR 1460.
The update to the honing rates should have happened TWO PATCHES AGO, we are lacking AN EXAGERATED AMOUNT OF CONTENT, we did not recieve the 16-man raids, we did not recieve the challenge for the abyss when it was time for it, we lacked a lot of the events the rest of the versions recieved back in the day, meaning less mats for upgrade…
What they are doing with the game it’s an abomination, they are releasing the as it is on the rest of the versions but not as they are right now, so basically we have lost content and ON TOP OF THAT we have the game as it was on the earlys of the game itself. Basically we got two negatives that sadly, this time don’t make a positive.
To milk you more, like every other weird choices
