So, people raged a bit here and there about this announcement about the classes, but let’s see the facts and let’s see why AGS is right.
Let’s see the first and most important comment on the matter:
It literally tells you the they have the data to confirm that it wouldn’t be a good idea to release the classes at once or too frequently.
Why you might ask why they rush other contents like region raids and so on if they can’t release the classes… just think about it.
Yeah, you might wait for another classes to get released, some of your friend might still want to play. Let’s say it takes 4 months to get your desired classes. Would you like your friends to wait that much to play the game together?
The aspect of an mmo is playing together, let friends and groups forms and provide them a playground where they can experience things together. Now, if they would delay these kind of contents too, they wouldn’t be able to play together there. Wouldn’t be this a little bit selfish from you?
AGS carefully inspected the data about the game and it is indeed telling you that in this cases, the best solution for you is to be patient. It’s not just about the game, but after 4 months while your friends can play together while you are saving your mats for a classes you seek, it will test your friendship all together.
If you sacrefice your mats and reach the required ilvl on a class which you know you wont main…you will show true friendship toward your friends!
Just imagine their gratitude towards you that you will instead spend much more time and money in the future on your class, just so you can play together now. Yeah, maybe you will even spend real money by then, when your class gets released… but that’s the point: friends deserve it.
On the other hand… if you do not spend money and your friends are progressing without you… you will see that this is not a real friendship, so you can actually get rid of fake friends thanks to AGS.
Oh, and if your friends will wait for you and actually clear the content for/with you which they already cleared hundreds of time and get bored with it and gain nothing from them: you will also see…they are true friends. Again: thanks to AGS.
Also on the matter: People often say that you wouldn’t even know about classes, if other regions wouldn’t have the game already.
Perfectly valid point… it’s your fault to use google for research on the game and decide on a class based on data. That’s not how it works.
I wont even think about the thing that you can actually use VPN to play other versions cause…that’s out of question cause it’s not allowed, so no one does that.
Also, if you want content, you need to sacrefice some things. Releasing a class is much easier than actually making new content/events and so on. You would just get bored. You can’t expect the publisher and developer to satisfy your needs in every half a year with new content. They are humans too, they do not work 24/7. So consider this too next time when you cry that classes are not contents.
So: more positivity and actually sometimes please… do not act out of rage.
If AGS wouldn’t know what they do, they would do otherwise. It’s a big company, they wouldn’t make mistakes twice and learn from their experience. If they do not change something what you saw in the past (like in New World) and if they do exactly the same as they did there that means: That wasn’t a mistake, it was intended and it’s working. Again: otherwise they would change cause a huge company like that wouldn’t kill a game with the same “mistakes”.
Have some faith in them and see where this goes!
