I saved them for selling later, they were tradable. I hide it in my storage just because not to be consumed. I genuinely don’t understand why tf is this even a thing?

Yeah, I also made this mistake. Put roster bound mats into storage to save them for alts. Was surprised to later find out they were gone. Thankfully I still have most of the chests unopened.
it is this way so you can drop all your tradable materials in the roster storage and use it on your main without looking at the storage
letting mats in your own charcter or account bank wont help you. only way i know is to take the mats with character A and then log in with character B and upgrade your items. so you wont use the tradeable items and just untradable from your character. really stupid system. at least give people the option to deactivate this “feature”. if i want to upgrade all my 5 alts, i have to collect all the tradeable items on them first and transfer them to my main. and then log back to all alts to upgrade them
just sell them instead of hoarding them,. the price just keeps going lower.
