Not sure why ppl get instandly toxic, if this topic comes up again, b/c it isn’t solved or even explained well enough.
Is the “rested argument” the solution of everything, incl. not reading the actual questions or understanding the intention behind? No it is not!
Why we have to do chaos/guardian twice a day? It’s a time sink. This keeps us away from horizontal AND vertical content. That’s the actual goal, b/c the less time we can spend on this content, the longer it will take until we “finish” it. Means, the need for more - new and very expensive - content is less intensive.
Why we have to do this things daily? That’s the next question. Answer: To maintain a better efficiency of mm/gf and to avoid peaks and calm in these toolings.
Yes, me also would like to chain all the possible 14 chaos/guardians on a toon in a row instead of switching around from alt to alt to alt and running into fomo-culture, b/c if I don’t do the stuff daily, I will lose. No matter what, but I will lose! Feels bad, but is the counter part of the things which keep the mm/gf working.
Now the rested bonus kicks in. Funny tool besides the thing with those alts. The rested bonus might give us a little bit of control and self determination. But not really.Yes might reduce our time invest but also lowers the rewards, like not doing the daily homework! But it feels better, coz its an bonus. Yay!
Maybe SG has encoutered a lot of negative feedback back in the days, so they decided to implement the rested system - to lower the presure on their players. Maybe …
Now the question to all these troll here, argueing with absolute self determination: If the rested system wouldn’t exist, would you guys do chaos/guardians every three days, like mentioned in another posting above? Why you decided to do this in a three day routine? Because thats the min/max of the rested usage. To blame ppl as fomo out of this position is kinda funny and makes me smile.
The alt thingy. I tend to play alts in every game. But i never experienced a game like LA that “forces” me into making alts in that intensive way. At the end it’s nothing else than another time sink AND it also increases the amount of possible sales in the ig shop. If you only play one character, you might fine after purchasing stuff like skins, mount, pet. If you play at least six characters, there is a very high chance of purchasing other stuff for your alts, too.
Conclusion: You might feel to act free, but you don’t! Almost every decision in Game Design is made affected by business reasons. Game play, fun and stuff like this, everytime(!!!) comes second.
