Ill agree with you here to a point. They should have done a better job of anticipating what was needed for a successful western release. But what they have released I think was more than adequate to keep the game afloat long enough for them to fix it.
Thats literally the definition of doom saying though. Because you arent actually basing this on facts you’re basing it on personal opinion and numbers which on their own are literally meaningless.
Look at the forums right now. The CS Team literally has been working 24/7 asking for feedback how exactly is that “not listening”?
and more to the point its ONLY been a month. That isnt even enough time for them to properly implement feedback.
You know what? That’s a great assessment! Argos is only 15mins of content. Why bother rushing to get there? Funny thing is the problem isn’t that small. This is about getting the Korean game we we’re promised. A good part of that is the progression system, yes. There’s already another post from Invicta that does a great job talking about just how gutted this version is. Sad that people are ok with this regardless of how desperate you are to play anything new in the online space.
To not even talk about how wrong that analogy is, but lets just address the basic question.
Yes you move on. That is how it works. It is their restaurant, your only power as customer is not giving them your money. You have NO right to their business nor right to how they conduct their business. (aside from legally prohibited activities, but that again is not something YOU decide but the law of the land).
Ah I forgot, Game companies get special passes when it comes to ethics and standards. My bad. It’s a take it or leave policy right? No room for a gasp a complaint or desire for change.
See the crazy thing is in the restaurant you just told me the actions you would take. You implied you’d get the manager and the police involved essentially saying you’d cry foul about the treatment and experience. Now let’s pretend you don’t have the police to call and I AM the manager? Are you going to IDK “move on” as you said?
I think you get where I’m going with this. Our standards shouldn’t change just because this is a digital product and a greedy megacorp. Accountability is accountability.
I mean when you get down to it they are making good calls for the short term gains. Give the heavy spenders content and get the edgiest costume on sale before the WoW people and streamer kids move on, they know the people who like the game are here to stay for a better portion, so they don’t feel the need to cater to that demographic.
Most people don’t realize this game game close to death before certain fixes took place, and with knowing those fixes will trickle in gives people the glimmer of hope to stay on board.
Wasn’t my point. It’s not about control. I guess getting walked on is so commonplace in the digital space people such as yourself are callous to it? Or you just don’t feel it quite like if I we’re to shit in your salad? Idk it’s fascinating really. Seeing what humans tolerate because “what can I do i’m just one person?” humming along with the heard…
Remind me again what are F2P players contributing to the game except making the queue longer? why do you think PoE success despite having a low population? because the people remain willing to pay a lot
FF14 has it’s own launcher (which I use) and console ports. Can’t trust steam charts (other’s pointed that out).
Square Enix is releasing new servers to JP, NA & EU regions, they wouldn’t do this if they weren’t successful. You’re uninformed and trying to misinformed people. Nice try.
Lol dieing? Whales spend 1000s in garbage mobile ips just to be the best. This game is not even close to dieing. Its been around 4 years in korea. People have one issue and they all freak in the forums. Western audience is simply spoiled and cries wayyyy too much. This is a great game and will be around for a while. Dont let the try hards that have spenr 100s or 1000s of hours in a game that just released and are mad they hit a wall.
The game isn’t dying. Losing players in a game after launch overtime is actually normal. The fact they retained these many players despite it being a month is a success compared to most mmos nowadays. Dying is a dramatic take, though we know people are saying this because the honing systems and missing content makes it rough for the playerbase.
I mean it’s logical to see the playerbase has dropped due to frutrations and reveal of how bad the systems are right now. I’m saying I understand the frustration, but the game is far from dead.
