Will i get RMT ban for transferring gold from 2nd account to main?

curious as to how they find having more than one account to play an advantage, if someone has 2 accounts or more that just means theyre putting more hours into the game(assuming theyre not botting ofc), and its not like some people are restricted to make more than one account,

You are violating TOS so possibly, but the ban for RMT is like 3 days anyway so you’re probably safe unless you are actually RMTing and transferring mass ammts of gold.

At this point Amazon is so lax on RMT that they are begging people to do it. If I had a fresh day one account I would buy a million gold lmao

Hypothetically what if that second account identifies as your booty call or wifu, same household. And said individual account is your sugar baby. Tech nothing in tos about that. In which case I am willing to apply for sugar baby status to fund my destroyer since we lack the proper catch ups yet. I am most excellent at RP. UWU.

I think the main concern is using a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th ect) account in a region to gain additonal weekly/daily gold and then using the market to transfer that to your main account. I know for a fact people are already doing it. Idk about detection though. They probably dont have a way to track that currently but in the future they might develop ways to monitor market transactions and once they do that people are probably going to start losing their accounts. I doubt they’ll put it in any patch notes. Just have to weigh the risk vs the reward. If you have spent 1000+ hours why risk it for a bit of extra gold? Just follow the rules of the game and play it as the developers intended.

yeah i still dont get how its an advantage since youll still have to play another account, which means youre actually putting effort still(again assuming theyre not botting)

pretending that its not against ToS and everyone can do it then there is no advantage right?

Because its gold that you would not be able to earn with a single account in the same time frame. Theres a reason they put a cap on your weekly/daily unas tasks. Using additonal accounts is bypassing that cap.

thus giving you an advantage over players who only use a single account.

my friend

They will never play it this way, even with only 100k “real players”. An automatic system maybe will flag you, but you need a human to analyze the data for each case.

Lets say 1k (1%) auto flags/day for all players, each investigation takes 5 Minutes. 5k Minutes are equal to 8 fulltime employees…

you will probably just get a warning for spamming false reports. They dont want to waste time with your mindless envy

first mmo?

going back to the COC

We reserve the right to determine what constitutes unfair play and to take corrective action we deem appropriate.

This is not something that was intended by the developers so they are invoking their right to say it is against the rules.

It is bypassing weekly unas gold caps so you could actually potentially classify it as an exploit.

Not telling anyone that they should or should not do anything. Just tell you why they likely are saying 1 account per player.

Never say never. ArenaNet has systems in place in GW2 that let them track literally ever piece of gold created in the game in real time. If they can do that I think developing systems to track suspicious market transactions is not beyond the realm of possibilities. Is it going to happen tomorrow? Doubtful. But it COULD happen in the future and that is why people create threads like this one. To weigh the risk vs the reward and determine if something is permitted or not because they do not want to risk losing their entire account.

You are right. The GW2 system is in place because they had a problem with dupes. If currency/items with the same fingerprint shows up, it was duped. Completely different context.

It is a bold move of a moderator to state this kind of stuff.

From the Steam FAQ:

Can I use multiple Steam accounts on one computer? Yes, you can access different Steam accounts from one computer . However, you may only access one account at a time.

Do you risk your account? Possibly, I can’t rule that out. Is there a technical way to identify that my family uses the same PC in the living room to play? No, technically impossible and allowed by Steam.

The information here is nothing more than scare tactics. SMG/AGS can’t even stop 400k bots.

Don’t talk about it with your friends in the game, don’t post anything about it in the forum. Don’t mess with your accounts (bots) and everything will be fine.

Witch hunting will get you banned from the forums.

Giving them a low number of gold is fine I keep sending to friends

You mean like how botting and RMT will get you banned from the game

No, I’m sorry for any misunderstandings. Here it is:

One account per player/person.
Each player/person in your house that wants to play can have their own separate account and can even be on the same machine. This is perfectly okay, and you have nothing to worry about.

The only way you will get banned is if you are found to be playing on more than one account yourself. Yes, I know that is hard for anyone to find out but either way, it is not allowed.

I hope this clears things up for everyone! (:

No but thank you, I needed that haha.

So a real player can’t use two accounts and activley play them both but 500 bot accounts running off a handful of machines is A ok. Got it.

No that is not okay either. We are working hard on the bots, I can assure you that!

Unless it’s dumping copious amounts of money of course.
