This is why it is absurd to believe this sort of rule is meaningfully enforceable.
The best case scenario is to give people empty warnings. The worst case scenario is a lot of legitimate people get falsely banned on suspicion and have to deal with AGS’s non existent customer service department trying to get unbanned.

I would say as long as you are playing on different computers you’re probably fine…
but yeah its a fair question as to how they would differentiate between one person claiming to be two different people and cases where it is actually two different people. This would be extremely difficult if not impossible to actually enforce in a way that makes any sense.

You can’t. Basically. Personally I wouldn’t worry about it, as you quite correctly point out, you don’t know what your customers situation is (HMO, computer sharing, cloud gaming, etc.).
As a result, unless you tell AGS (as is the case in this thread), there’s no way to be sure that someone personally has two accounts.
It’s also sad to see @Azanaa state “it’s not allowed”, but doesn’t provide a link to the clause in the TOS that states this, so you either have to manually look it up yourself, or take their word for it (and not be able to keep an eye on whether or not that clause is ever revised).

You can only earn gold on 6 characters on a server… unless you have more than 1 account.
You can only send gold through the mail to characters on the same server as you. This complicates transferring gold to your real server if you choose to make alts on a different server instead of buying more character slots for real money.
If they allowed more than 1 account per person, a person would be able to run multiple accounts all earning gold on the same server every week, and eating into their profits from getting around the time gates, even if that task would be an unbearable grind to do so. You need to imagine in the future when we have multiple legion raids on farm and reaching them is easy, the “meta” would be hopping between your 20 accounts to do legion raids all day every day for endless gold.

I find the ‘it’s own machine’ thing very weird… don’t they know some families only have one computer?
what if my son and i play the game, different machines, same IP Address? because a bot would have the same behavior or someone like the guy who made the post. how having 2 or 3 accounts using same IP is passive of Ban since multiple people at the same house would play the same game?
You are not even able to “find” bots running through walls and completing hundreds of chaos dungeons a day. They sell and buy stuff for millions of gold and you are unable to detect it.
Yet here you are talking about TOS and how it is illegal to have two accounts.

I did transfer to my friend 1k gold like 2 times and once 200-500… it happened like a month and a half ago or maybe 2 months i am not sure… i didnt get any warning or ban! I mean who can blame you for sending 1-2k gold to someone?
