If you are past the main story line that side quests appear in, it won’t let you finish the side quests later. It does not prompt you on where to go and if you do find the monster and kill it, it won’t count towards the quest. I don’t care about them since they don’t offer much exp at this level, so I abandoned the quests. However, even after abandoning the quests, the exclamation points pop up on the map. It’s pretty annoying, so I went to see if I could pick it up and just complete it, but the same issue (in the first 2 sentences) keeps happening.
