Basically title. Would such a QOL update be acclaimed by the player base? How would the game economy react? Any negative consequences on the long term?
I think it’s a great idea, my 79 boss rush tickets from alts would feel great on my main.
I thought of the same. Although my main argument for this would be to facilitate mainswapping since a lot of people are still waiting for their mains to release. Atm, the process of switching mains is very painful. This QOL update would really ease the pain and it’s not too drastic.
would be good it’s so boring to do boss rush on my arcana
As a thought or wish, sounds nice.
But either will never happen or moment or does, we all lose out on nerfs.
Because as usual - bots.
As it stands today, every char is guaranteed 100% a boss rush ticket drop per week. Not sure how it is coded but kr says this and our exp in NA confirms it.
May get rng lucky and drop more - usually 2 for most chars and rare 3 per week. But one is guaranteed.
So ask yourselves what would bots do if boss rush tickets was roster bound? Answer - create / delete infinite chars to get their 1 guaranteed ticket, which they can easily farm using existing auto chaos dungeon scripts.
Then hand off to the one higher level char they don’t delete to run all tickets. Especially since if other wish item players asked for, use 3 tickets at once like cube, ever comes around.
TLDR - roster bound boss rush would mean infinite boss rush for bots, crush gem market, as usual - the response by SMG to fight this infinite ticket farm would be more a nerf to real players than hurt bots. E.g. number of tickets dropped for real players may go down a lot, no guaranteed 1st ticket, etc. while bots wouldn’t care bc they have infinite chances for drop via creating infinite new chars with auto leveling script to hit T3
I think your leap in logic is a little skewd - Bots can do this now because Gem are tradeable and they would just matchplay on the new T3, get the gems, transfer the gems and delete the character - repeat.
It’s the cube tickets that would be abused - the artisan mats could be filtered to help level a main and would take away from AH / shop purchases. I have lots of cube tickets sitting on alts that i won’t use because i don’t want to have mats.
I also just run plat cube via dispatch because i hate running them.
I have 1 main paladin and 5 paladin alts @ 1340. On wed i run 6 boss rush / una tasks and filter the gems to my main (finally starting into lvl 8 gems) and collect my gold chest. I start saving ticket to get my 6 for the next week and then any extras i run when the drop. I have full DPS and Support gem at lvl 7 (1 level 8) on my main and i gave all 5 paladins a set of 11 @ level 3 dps gems.
the stones you get from them are bound
the mats you get from cubes are also bound
the idea i guess is that you don’t funnel too easily
but it definitely sucks to be unlucky and not get a ticket the entire week
Yes they can do this now - but they’d have to run it on that specific char, and most bots are not upper end chars but trash chars created, auto leveled, do gold rapport, weekly una, then delete.
If these near infinite low effort bots could simply pass their guaranteed boss rush tickets to the ‘real’ or more permanent chars on that account that are not mass deleted every day, then bots would have even more of a gem factory.
Do they gem farm now? Absolutely. But roster tickets would simply make it easier for bots, and as I said, every single time bots get some advantage that SMG tries to nerf, all it does is hurt real players more than bots bc they have far greater ability to scale than players.
