Zoning - lock up - crash

As of yesterday, the game has randomly been locking up when zoning. It isn’t consistent, so I can’t reproduce at will. Location doesn’t seem to matter.

I’ve done everything applicable to the issue.

Sys:
Win 10 Pro
i7 9700k @ 3.6GHz
16gb ddr4 3200
RTX 2070 FTW3
3x SSD 1tb

No issues with drivers.
Uninstall / Reinstalled.
Verified local files multiple times.
Uninstall / reinstall EAC as well as repair.
Changing graphical settings / video settings no effect.
The only thing that locks up is the game.
I’m running multiple monitors and no other programs have any issues.
No win logs, etc.

I am sorry to hear you seem to be getting sporadic crashes when zoning.

Please try the following steps in order to troubleshoot this:

  1. Ensure your video drivers are up to date.
  2. Set Windows power settings to High Performance.
  • Press Windows + R, type “powercfg.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
  • Select the radio button next to the High performance power plan. You may need to click Show additional plans first.
  1. Adjust your in-game video settings. (sometimes just changing them back and forth will reset the issue)
  2. Clean boot Windows by following these instructions:
    How to perform a clean boot in Windows (to reduce startup applications/Check for Malware).
  3. Reset your video driver software to the default settings.
  4. Check for evidence of overheating.
  5. Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check

  6. Make sure Windows Updates are up to date.
